Edmond Gareginovich Keosayan was born on October 9, 1936 in He was born on October 9, 1936, in the city of Leninakan.

He was a Soviet-era Armenian film director, screenwriter. He worked in “Mosfilm” and “Hayfilm” film studios. He was considered one of the best masters of the adventure genre of Soviet cinema.

He studied economics in Moscow, in 1954-58 at Yerevan art and theater institutes, at the same time he worked s s a concertmaster in the State Variety Orchestra directed by K. Orbelyan. And In 1965 he graduated from the Moscow Institute of Cinematography.
